Personal training, in person or online

Online Personal Training, Live by Video

Live one-on-one personal training by video from anywhere. Real-time form checks, a program that progresses week to week, and steady accountability from a coach with 22+ years of experience.

Full-length portrait of Dario in his training gear

Some of my longest-running clients no longer live near me. They moved, or they spend half the year somewhere else, and we kept training. Online coaching is not a fallback for me. It is a real format, done live, and it works when it is coached properly.

What online coaching with me is

Live, one-on-one sessions by video. Not an app, not a library of workouts. I am on the call for the whole session, watching your form, counting your reps, and adjusting on the fly the same way I would if we were in the same room. Between sessions you have a written program that progresses week to week.

Who it works for

  • Busy people who cannot add a commute to their day
  • Travelers and snowbirds who want the program to follow them
  • Clients who moved away from the Tampa Bay Area and want to keep working with me
  • Anyone, anywhere, who wants a coach with a clinical eye rather than a generic plan
  • In-person clients who want to add a second session by video

What you need

A phone, tablet, or laptop propped where I can see your whole body. Enough floor space to lie down and step sideways. And whatever equipment you have. A pair of dumbbells and a band cover a lot. If you have nothing, we start with body weight and a chair, and I will tell you what is worth buying when it is time.

Where online is not the right call

I will be straight with you. If you have a real fall risk, are early in a cardiac or orthopedic recovery, or need hands-on corrective work like assisted stretching, in person is the better choice and I will say so on the intro call. Plenty of clients start in person and move online once we both know your body.

How it starts

A free intro call, then a first session that is mostly assessment: how you move, what you have, what you want. Programs are written for the person and the room they are in, so a client with a full garage gym and a client with two dumbbells in a condo get very different plans that work equally well.

"Dario is the most professional, precise and cheerful trainer I have worked with, for 8 wonderful years. I would highly recommend him!"

Common Questions

How does an online session work?

We meet live on a video call at a set time. I can see you, you can see me, and I coach the session the same way I would in the room: demonstrating, watching your form, adjusting weight and reps as we go.

What equipment do I need?

Less than you think. A little floor space, a phone or laptop propped where I can see you, and whatever you have: a couple of dumbbells, a kettlebell, resistance bands, a sturdy chair. I build the program around what is in the room.

Is online training as effective as in person?

For strength and conditioning, mobility, and general fitness, yes, as long as it is live and coached. Pre-recorded videos are not the same thing. For balance work with a real fall risk or hands-on corrective work, in person is better and I will tell you so.

Who is online coaching best for?

Busy schedules, frequent travelers, snowbirds who leave Tampa for part of the year, and clients who moved away and want to keep training with me. Also anyone outside the Tampa Bay Area who wants a coach with a clinical eye.

Do you write programs for between sessions?

Yes. Your program progresses week to week, and you know what to do on the days we do not meet.
